WEDDINGS & PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING
the sacred covenant of companionship and communion in mind, body, and soul that teaches us to love more abundantly
As you prepare to join your lives together, the Rev. Amanda Hendler-Voss offers a comprehensive service including pre-marital counseling, ceremony planning and rehearsal, and officiation of the wedding ceremony.
Do you marry LGBTQ+ couples?
Absolutely! It has been a privilege to marry couples who identify as gay, lesbian, and trans. I was blessed to marry one of the first couples married in Asheville on the day marriage equality became law in North Carolina.
Do you officiate interfaith ceremonies?
I do. While my experience is primarily in the Christian tradition, my services seek to honor the traditions particular to each couple.
Is pre-marital counseling required?
Yes. It is crucial to the health of your marriage to participate in pre-marital counseling, either through me or from another source, such as a marriage/family counselor.
How much do you charge?
Pre-marital Counseling is $50/session, with your choice of 3-6 sessions. Rehearsal and Wedding Ceremony are $300-500 depending upon size.
Are you a good fit for us?
If you seek a ceremony that honors your relationship and leans into the holy; if you affirm marriage as a mutual partnership between equals; if a thoughtful exploration of your family history and the blessings and challenges of your relationship seem essential to your marriage; if poetic beauty is important in crafting your ceremony, then Amanda might be the right fit for you.

“For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.”
--Rainer Maria Rilke
But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God." --Ruth 1:16
